Purpose and scope of the Journal
Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) Law Journal provides coverage for national and international developments in the world of arbitration and business law. The journal aims to maintain balance between academic debate and practical contributions to the field, providing both topical material on current developments and analytic scholarship of permanent interest, particularly focusing on hot debated issues in the field of business law and arbitration. Arbitrators, counsel, judges, scholars and government officials will find the journal enhances their understanding of a broad range of topics business law, commercial and investment arbitration. Features include (i) articles covering business law, all major arbitration rules and national jurisdictions written by respected international practitioners and scholars, (ii) cutting edge (case) notes covering recent developments and ongoing debates in the field, (iii) book reviews of the latest publications in the world of arbitration and business law, (iv) Letters to the Editor and (v) agora grouping articles related to a common theme.
Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) Law Journal maintains a balance between controversial subjects for debate and topics geared toward practical use by arbitrators, lawyers, academics, judges, corporate advisors and government officials.

Review process
Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) Law Journal’s editorial decisions are based only on consideration of complete and final manuscripts submitted by the authors themselves. No republished submission will be accepted. No advance decision can be given on the basis of topic proposals or outlines. All decisions remain within the full discretion of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts may be returned to authors with suggestions related to substance and/or style.
Format and style
- Authors should submit final versions of full manuscripts (MS Word format). Topic proposals, outlines or drafts are not considered.
- The front page should include the title of the manuscript, the full name of author(s) and an abstract of about 200 words. (Case notes and book reviews do not need abstracts)
- The first footnote should include a brief biographical note including current affiliation(s) of the author(s). Email address is optional.
- Authors are encouraged to follow the style of OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities)
- Please do not include a table of contents or numbered paragraphs.
- There is no word limit for submissions.
Copyright
Contributors will retain the copyright in their work. They will, however, be required to grant the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) a non-exclusive license to publish the article in paper and electronic form, and to confirm that any necessary permissions have been obtained from the copyright owners of any third-party material included in the article. Contributors will be asked to confirm that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
Upon receipt of accepted manuscripts at TAI, authors will be invited to complete an online license to publish form.
Please note that by submitting an article for publication you confirm that you are the corresponding/submitting author and that Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) may retain your email address for the purpose of communicating with you about the article. You agree to notify TAI immediately if your details change. If your article is accepted for publication TAI will contact you using the email address you have used in the registration process.
Open Access
Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) Law Journal authors have the option to publish their paper open access with free of charge. The paper will be made freely available online immediately upon publication.
Submission Deadline
Submission deadline of Vol.1/September is on August 24th, 2020 by 4.30 pm ICT.
