TAI Symposium 2025 | Building an Arbitration-Friendly Thailand
Advancing Thailand toward becoming a regional hub for international-standard dispute resolution through arbitration.
The Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI), Office of the Judiciary, in collaboration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, warmly welcomes all participants to a forum for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, and shaping strategies to elevate the standards of Thailand’s arbitration system to align with international benchmarks, support foreign investment and international trade, and address emerging disputes.

Session 1: Keynote Speech
A special address on the topic: “Thailand as an Arbitration-Friendly Country: Strengths, Strategies, and National Benefits.”
Session 2: Panel Discussion 1:
“The Growth of Arbitration in Thailand over the Years: Advancements in Infrastructure, Human Capital, and Enforceability.”
Join a distinguished panel of experts with extensive knowledge and experience in trade, investment, and arbitration as they explore the evolution of arbitration in Thailand. The discussion will focus on identifying practical approaches to improve the quality of arbitration infrastructure, human capital, and the enforceability of arbitral awards to meet international standards.
In addition, a series of panel discussions will take place throughout the two-day TAI Symposium 2025, featuring the following topics:
- “Unlocking Civil Disputes for Arbitration: The Next-Level Solution for Thailand’s Private Sector”
- “Arbitration in Construction and Infrastructure Disputes: Lessons from Mega Projects”
- “Arbitration relating to disputes under Concession Agreement and the Joint Venture Agreement”
- "Thinking about divorce before getting married: arbitration agreements in transactions relating to Thailand"
- "Thai Arbitration at a Crossroads: Towards Recognition of Foreign Arbitral Injunctions?”
The discussions will be bilingual, incorporating both Thai and English, with Thai being the primary language of communication. English will be used selectively where appropriate, such as during specific sessions or when addressing non-Thai-speaking participants.
